War Party PANIC!War Party PANIC! is a twin-stick action RPG in the vein of Gauntlet (2014) with an emphasis on procedurally-generated content, high-stakes and choice-driven character progression.
My work on this project included world-building, player-character gameplay and progression design, game system design, procedural game design, enemy behavior and progression design, and art direction. Working with Novo-Interactive on this project was a creatively collaborative experience that was founded on mutual respect and logical discourse. Every member of the team was deeply invested in the creative quality of the product. While this started as a hobby-project for students in 2007, most members of this team are now working professionally in the industry. |

After the completion of GHP2, I created several game proposals for use in search of publisher funding. The 3DS had not yet been released, but had been announced, and so many of my pitches focused on that system. I wrote two-page design docs and created a game screen mockup for each pitch. The slide-show on the left shows three of the many proposals I created. Scrapyard - A third-person shooter with customizable robots King's Squire - A puzzle-platformer that combines side-scrolling with a touch-based puzzle game using two screens First Ascent - A climbing simulation game targeted at sports retailers and nature magazines |
